Leysop 6mm Fast Risetime UPC Pockels Cell
A step function driver has been built for this Pockels cell. Two Pockels cells and two drivers of this type
can be used for slicing pulses with a very fast risetime of 250psec. Repetition rate is 100Hz.
This oscilloscope trace below shows the measurement of the optical transmission in a single-pass setup
measured with a photodetector of risetime 40psec, the oscilloscope risetime was 160psec
Parameters: 1064nm, 7.2kV
The oscilloscope trace below shows the same measurement with a resolution of 100psec
Parameters: 1064nm, 7,2kV
Two colliding pulses in a UPC Pockels cell
Instead of using two seperate 50Ω drivers there is the possibility to use one 25Ω driver with two cables of different lengths.
The oscilloscope trace below shows the measurement of the optical transmission in a single-pass setup
measured with a photodetector of risetime 40psec, the oscilloscope risetime was 160psec
The cable length difference of this measurement was ~1m.
Parameters: 1064nm, 7.2kV, 10Hz
